Well i've decided i'm going to sleeve every cable inside my case. However what i want to do is make the cable from scratch (so they can be of perfect length) (and to save myself a few bob). Only problem i'm finding is two things i can get the female connector housings no problems. However trying to find male housings has been a nightmare. Along with this trying to find a crimping tool for AWG 18 to 24 has been a pain in the ass. If anyway has any idea where i can pick these two up that would be great.

I appreciate the purist approach and am a big fan of braiding myself, but why not just cut down or lengthen your existing cables and then braid over so the join can't be seen?

ahh cool cheers ill do that when i get home from work tonight. Personnally i couldnt find any on overclockers competitors i use guess im not using the right ones :D. Oh and the reason i don't want to extend my existing cables is quite simply don't want to lose my warranty and i'm in the process of upgrading my system (currently using an athlon 64 and a 7600gt so i gonna give my pc some i7 lovin :P) so will also be changing psu's soon.

no worries re the "cutting them down" reading back through your initial question I think I failed to appreciate you were wanting make from scratch rather than mod ones you had.

Crimping tool wise the big electronics retyailer that begins with M usually socks them.

with regards to the fittings, i've seen them on various websites (no names sorry) usually under cable modding accessories.

Yea sadly i checked the big M store but they only sell the other type of crimpers tools. Guess im gonna have to bite the bullet and buy some from a competitior for a crazy price.

Well it was an american competitor so with packaging it would cost me a fortune. However i've found another one of overclockers competitiors that sell one 23 quid not bad just wish they actually had the correct heatshink for the braiding they sell (kinda wierd they sell 3mm braiding but sell only 2.5mm or 6mm heatshink grr). Personnally i wish overclockers had there own section for this kinda stuff really would be nice.
