i opened up my rig, did a bit of cable tidying, changes some white sata cables for some black ones, checked everything and then windows wont start

the windows logo starts up and freezes at the exact same point, reboots the machine and it continues in a loop

i have had to reinstall windows for it to work again, but what do you think the problem was?

It could be something like the hardware was plugged into different slots? and the slots it was in were set up as IDE apposed to AHCI? or something along those lines?

I installed windows 7 as IDE and then tried to change the mode to AHCI and it wouldn't load windows :(

i did change where the drives were plugged in, but everything was on AHCI, so it shouldnt have made a problem
