Hey guys, since posting up pics of my case internals in the case thread, I realised it really could do with a clean up.

Here it was before:

and now after cleaning it up and moving the cables.

Problem is, now I've put everything round the back, I can't close it back up. I'm not sure how I can manage all the cables round the back. Does anyone have any ideas? There isn't much space between the case side and the mobo tray. I put all the cables into the large space where I took one of the hard drives out (don't need it, so took it out), but I still found that the 'bend' from the cables was too large for me to put the case over.

Cabling looks like this at the moment:

Is it just a case of me having to really push the side down in order to get it to fix on, squashing the cables in the process or is there any tips for doing this? Many thanks, I look forward to some replies :)

You could use insulating tape to hold the cables down on the back of the mobo tray. Also, your cpu cooler is mounted the wrong way round.

could you put them in the empty 3.5s and lower the hdd to stop them from opening up and looking bad

That's where I had them like I said, but I couldn't get the case side on because of the way the cables were bending round.

Also, your cpu cooler is mounted the wrong way round.

The memory was in the way when I fitted it the other way around. Was either this or nothing so just went with that. I've had no cooling problems though, is this really making that big of a difference?

Well after trying again with cable ties and rearranging the order of some of the cables, I've finally got it finished! Still not perfect but much better than before.

Got to love motherboard designers who put the 24pin motherboard connector in a stupid place like that.

It does look a lot neater than before. :)

I'd probably move that top mounted fan to the rear slot on the case and turn that cooler around so it's oriented towards the rear though, if you aren't selling it of course.

I would move the cooler round if I could. But when I tried to fit it on the right way, the memory was in the way. If I was keeping I would probably get a Corsair liquid cooling system for it, but all I see in that computer is something else i can sell to get money for other stuff lol.

Thanks though, I am happy with how it came out. I should have built it like that in the first place.

Doing this just made me remember why I love building computers so much, just a financial nightmare when its not something I need.

I think Tealc means rotate it 180 degrees. It shouldn't foul your RAM then and will push air out back if you team it up with moving the roof fan to the rear also.

If you're selling it to someone who knows about PCs they're gonna think it a little odd in it's present form.

I did mean 180. It did actually interfere with the RAM, from what I remember.

I don't have any spare paste, and I take it I can't just switch round without having to redo that. Otherwise I'd try it.
