okay so today ive been trying to tidy cables a bit for when i get my round ide cables. is it okay if wires like molex cables etc are in contact with my hdd. as i have tried to tidy them by using the empty bays. now ive put some unused cables in the 2 empty 5.25 drive bays i have and that looks fine. but its the internal 3.5inch drive bays that im concerned with.

If its bare metal touching, no. If its just the plastic sleeving, yes. There are no moving parts on the outside of a HD.

so its okay then yeah ? i dont want my wires melting or something lol. the cables from psu are all sleeved though cables for say my cathodes arent and those are just normal.

Nah, they wont melt. Plastic melts at roughly 280C (Depending on plastic could be higher / lower) and you hard drive will be about 40C (Depending on cooling). theres is absolutley no danger of that. By sleeved I meant plastic coated and not a bare wire. Though sleeved is just the same.
