cable ties vs tube clamps??

Right-o

I've just hit a rather large snag in my build that's dragging on like crazy.

All but 3 of the koolance tube clips I purchased are too small, suspect they are for 5/8 OD while I'm using 3/4 OD

SO the burning question is, how well do cable ties/ty-wraps/zip ties/whateveryoucalltheminyourarea cope as a substitute? As at best I won't get more tube clamps until Tuesday/Wednesday and I really need things up and running sooner as the mess is just consuming my flat.

Any pointers, advise, personal use opinons please guys

I take it you're using barbs? Ties will do the job, even as a stop gap.

I only use barbs without ties, but was going to refresh my loop at some point with some compressions, purely for aesthetics.

Have any jubilee clips laying around? I've always used them on mine. They dont look too pretty but ya swing the pc around ya head from the pipe after ya got one of them on.

Yeah using barbs, for the amount of components in the loop compressions would have cost me £100's

No jubilee clips either, I have cable ties and not much else to hand unfortunately.

I'll see if I can use the clips I have on the parts on show and cable tie the more out of sight components.

Clampless looks nice but ya have to buy slightly smaller or thicker walled tubing to make it work, that 3/4 stuff hes using would have to be really thick walled to use clampless.

Yeah thats exactly wheat i did on my last rig, used smaller pipes for all the visible stff and left it clampless and big tygon 3/4 everywhere not seen with jublee clips on.

in the 10 years or more Ive only ever used tie wraps.
Use 2 and offset the ends.

Zip ties are perfect, near impossible to pull off the tubing.

Nevermind, most of my barbs are fubar, threads are too long, might as well order more clips with more barbs
