Hey Guys,

I've just bought a new nvidia GeForce 9800GT, took my old one out, put this new one in only to find I don't have the cable that directly connects the PSU to the graphics card! My PC is a cheapy custom Dell and my current graphics card doesn't need this power so i take it that's why it wasn't left in there.
Anyways I've been looking around for this cable I need and have only found this, which it comes with already and if this is what I need...There's no wires around that it connects to.
I could do with some help as to what I need to get and any additional information about my computer you may need, I'll do my best to find out. Please do not I'm not that great with the techy side of computers so please dumb it down a bit for me. :p

the white ends connect to the cable used by your DVD drive or hard drive

post your PSU specs, usually found on the label

Find 2 molex connecters coming off your PSU. They usually go into IDE hard drives, fans etc. You can daisy chain them if you haven't got enough cables.

Hi and welcome youll need 2 of the 4 pin connectors (molex plugs) that are on the psu to connect to the adapter in your pic, then plug the 6 black pins into the graphics card.

Ok well as I was looking for the spec of my PSU, I've realized that it's only 300W, where as I need at least a 400/500W PSU for the graphics card. Can anyone possibly recommend one that's not too expensive and will come with the bits I'll need to set this all up.
I knew this wouldn't be as simple as 'plug and play' with a new graphics card. :p

ikettles - How come your e2160 is only at 2.7? I only ask as I'm about to pair my e2160 with a neo2...
Now at 3ghz, was running too hot with the volts needed at 3ghz prior to watercooling so I backed off :) Mind you the extra 300mhz is really only for willy waving (and comparing it to the speed other people have gotten it's not some to be hugely proud of :P). Either way the Neo2 is a great board however I needed a BIOS flash before it would boot from CD.
