Cached Domain setting on Laptop

First off i hope this is on the right section!!

I set a network password reset to all users via Active Directory which seems to be all ok for internal users.

The issue is that we have external reps with laptops that have cached domain settings and therefore they have to log on with their old password as it doesnt acept their new one.

How do i re-cache their laptops to update to the new password?? If that makes since

Is this just logging into the local laptop? I take it they will have a local account on the laptop as well, could they not just change the local accounts password to match their AD one?

I think they will have to connect to the DC either via LAN or VPN to get their cached password updated.

Yea, i will get them connect via VPN and as you said it should update.
