CACJE 0546 a good stepping?

Well my mates CACJE 0546 was stable (17hrs Prime95) upto 2.85GHz on std vcore :),it got to windows @ 2.95GHz too on std vcore but it wasn't stable, I didn't want to push the vcore up because the temps were getting high.Only using an AMD HSF with heatpipes.
It was a better chip than the CABYE I've got!.

I have a 148 cacje and it's a pretty good clocker imho, i have got mine to 2.9ghz stable on 1.4ish volts, it will do 3ghz but wasn't stable in fear, of all things  , i have since changed my memory since then so i might give it another go when i get the time.

Guys these are some good results :D I bought a 148 cacje 0546 a few weeks ago but haven't been able to test it and it's been driving me crazy! 2.85 stable stock volts on air Assimilator, 2.9 with a little volts rxmac - great!

Cheers :D so when are you hoping to join the opteron club then mate? And you must have the patience of a saint i had to wait about 3 days with mine sat there waiting to be put in and i was like shall i put it in now (as i was upgrading) it was all i could do to wait till i was on holiday before xmas so i could have a day at it tweaking.

hardnrg thats great! What volts is that?

rxmac - yeah its driving me nuts, gotta wait another 2 weeks though, exams take priority for some reason :p . I was really disapointed when I opened the box to find a cacje, but people are getting really good results. On a side note, I checked her earlier today and found two bent pins  . Luckily I straightened them out without trouble. gave me a fright though. No idea how it happened

my 146 cacje needs 1.45v for 2.6ghz and 1.575v for 2.8ghz
not nearly as good as some here (especially the volts needed)
maybe there's something i'm not doing right or it's just not THAT good a chip...

Similar here, 1.425 volts upto 2.6Ghz, 1.55v @ 2.7GHz 13 hours prime stable.

Had it at 3Ghz but Prime fails instantly.

I have a 144 Opteron with this stepping CACJE 0546. Im abit confused as to what people have as stock volts. I thought it was 1.4v but Needforspeed said "just got upto 2.73 still haven't increased the voltage yet but MBM and Asus PC probe show it at 1.47 now running prime95".
At 1.4v (1.38v in mbm5 and OCCT) mine is Prime stable for 15 hours including passing OCCT and 32Mb Super Pi. Am currently Priming at 2.7Ghz using 1.475v in bios.
Im using a DFI NF4 mobo which appears to undervolt by abou 0.05v.
Has anybody else experienced this?
Whats the generally accepted max vcore for an Opteron. Its under a TDX waterblock if that makes a difference.

I have a DFI Ultra-D and it reads my 146 as 1.5v even though its set at 1.55v in bios.
btw i need that to get to 2.65GHz though i have the multi set at 9 rather than the standard 10 to get my memory as near to 200MHz as possible.

I currently have my RAM running on 9/10 divider. Think my memory is running at 275 now.
Currently Priming at 1.500v in bios. Failed after 55 mins at 1.475v bios.
The old Athlon64 3200 was running 24/7 at 2.47Ghz at 1:1 mem.
Would be interesting to see if anyone has an opinion as to wether its better to run at 200Mhz with tight timings or run as high to 1:1 as mem will go.
