Hello Folks,

I have specc'd up an i7 SB Build and was wondering if some of you experienced builders could have a quick glance at my spec and highlight any glaring **** ups or tweaks that could improve it!

I have some flexibility with my budget, but not £100s.

One thing I must go with is a NVIDIA Graphics card (as opposed to ATI)as they have been proven to work well with our CAD software at work.

Most grateful for any input if people have a couple of minutes.

Looks quite good, though do you need the additional features the Deluxe board offers over the Pro or even Vanilla? Rather than buying 2 sets of 4 gig RAM, youd be better getting an 8 gig set like this
You may want to post in monitor section and get some advice off PCM2 re the monitor

One more quick question regarding RAID.

Ideally it looks as though this would have to be at least RAID 1 for work (thus the expanded drive capacity).

Is there any mileage in adding a separate RAID controller card or is it really not worth it.

If you got the extra cash I would consider a 24" 1920x1200 monitor rather than the 1080p size of 1920 x 1080 .... for an extra ~150 or so you can get an HP ZR24w on other retailer sites which is great for gaming (I use for CS:S, COD:BLOPS, BFBC2:V, SupCom2), it is also an S-IPS with good viewing angles and (with some tweaking) good colours.
