Cadbury's Roses

Cadbury's Roses box size over the years in grammes: ("large" box)

2006 - 1500g
2009 - 1100g
2010 - 975g
2014 - 780g
2015 - 729g
2018 - 660g
2022 - 600g
2024 - 550g

In 2030, it will probably drop further to 100g.

In 2050, it will be microscopic, only viewable when using an electron microscope.

What are was the weights?

IIRC the 1992 tin was 1.9kg, the current tub is 550g

Which is a 71% decrease in size

In 1992 the tin cost £5. The current tub is £5.25 (Tesco Clubcard price)

In 1992 the tin was, adjusted for inflation £5.68/kg. Today it's £9.55/kg

Don't forget we also had the stupid "sugar tax" added recently as well :/
Is that on chocolate though?

Which made everything more expensive, but made zero difference to public health...
Plenty of evidence you just choose to ignore, but here's a few links to get you started. Not that you'll read them.

Cadbury went to **** when the Americans bought it. Who don't know what real chocolate is.

I thought cadburys was from Birmingham

thats my childhood memories in tatters

EDIT: wow it was, and in 1824,

The number of super chonkas and people with diabetes only gets higher.

All's that's happened really is everyone has less money. Numbers can be spun all day long to make decisions look like good ones, the government do it all the time.

What we should be doing is billing anyone with a ridiculous BMI caused by fat. I'm fit and healthy, so why am I paying more because people can't stop KFCing themselves to death.

Thanks for confirming you didnt read the links.

Yes numbers with diabetes are going up hence the even greater need for measures to counter it, but instead you just moan about it and ignore things that might start to help.

Also a 'sugar tax' literally taxes the people drinking and/or eating that stuff. But you are against it whilst moaning about paying more. Thats a slightly conflicted view you have there.

I may **** off Roses, but an ex-girlfriend of mine, one of her relatives actually ran the Rose Brothers factory in Gainsborough, and they were absolutely minted, despite not having mint flavoured sweets in the tub. I sometimes think do I technically still have a claim on that fortune?
