Hey guys,
Would like to rig up my system so that by inserting a disk into it in a caddy like system I can reboot the computer into something else.

My system (in sig) normally boots from a SSD M4 128Gig and works great. I want to install a caddy "home" type device and move this SSD to a "cassette" type system where I can just plug in the cassette containing the disk and the system will boot as the normal PC. But then on another day I want to be able to boot it with another disk in a second "cassette" as an ESXi server.

Does that make sense? Any hardware that can do this from OCuK?

Thanks, Steve

It makes some sense, and you can buy externally accessible drive bays that work either without drive caddies.

If it's ESXi you're interested in you just need a USB flash drive. Install ESXi to the flash drive and just plug it in when you want to boot it.
