Hi, I have just got my new cal and have a xonar dg sound card.

How do I set these headphones up to get the best out of them?

1. Do I plug the 3.5mm jack into my sound card and if so which port?

2. Do I have my sound card set as default device under the windows sound options?

3. What options should be set in the Xonar DG Audio Center?

The only way I can get them to work is to plug them into the front jack socket on my pc case, and set the headphones to default under windows sound options but is this using my sound card or the on board sound?

hope that all makes sense?

Go into the BIOS and turn off your onboard sound.

Set the Dg as your default.

Check you have the latest driver from ASUS, or even use the non-official unified drivers (I do and I think they are better) - http://maxedtech.com/asus-xonar-unified-drivers/

Headphones go into the green socket.

Then just play around with the settings. 2 channels for music and general stuff, 8 channels for gaming.

Thanks mate, got them working great now.

Do you guys have dolby 5.1 selected in the Asus DG controller? When I have it selected voices sound like they are in a really big empty room but the game audio sounds better then if it isnt selected.
