Ive been using "sunbird" a free calander prog from mozilla etc..... and i was wanting somthing a little bit better since i want to be able to have reminder emails (i think you have to use thunderbird for sunbird) and im not a big fan of thunderbird (due to my no knowledge of it and i wasnt able to get the plugins to work with it so hotmail cudnt :( ) so can any one point me into the direction of a free calendar that is good easy to use and will send me emails for dates or try and explain how to use sunbird to send email

I read about a site called CalendarHub the other day and I'm currently using it for reminders of family birthdays - something I'm notoriously crap at remembering! It'll send an email to my Gmail box five days before each birthday, allowing me plenty of time to get a card posted *cough* :D

From their blurb:
CalendarHub is a web calendar that allows you manage and share information with your family, friends, and groups. It allows you to collect and view calendar information that you are most interested in. You can create calendars that subscribe to your favorite sports team, group, and organization calendars to keep track of all your interests and obligations in one place. You can import schedule information from your Outlook program, or any calendar programthat supports the ICal standard.

1. You can download the CalendarHub Widget taskbar tool to view your upcoming events and receive notifications just like you can in Outlook.
2. CalendarHub supports RSS so you can view your day/week/month/year events using RSS aggregator tools such as Pluck (IE) or Sage (Firefox) or by using your Bloglines account.
3. If your cell phone supports email, CalendarHub can send event reminders straight to your cell.
You're not restricted to shared calendars - they can of course be totally private if you so wish.
