Hi everyone.

I use Rainlendar as my desktop calendar, it has all my stuff on it. I want to get the calendar onto my Google Calendar so it will display on my new Samsung Galaxy S2.

I have tried syncing it with Google Calendar in the past, using GCALDaemon with mixed results.

I recently discovered the Google Sync app, which syncs Outlook with Google Calendar - I have never used Outlook before.

So I exported the iCal file from Rainlendar, imported it into Outlook - all my entries are there, great.

The problem now is that Google Sync simply won't work, my Google Calendar never changes.

Does anyone have any ideas?! Or any other suggestions? I'd rather use only one calendar and it'd be nice if there was a way to get my PC and Phone to update each other :(

Please help.

Can you put the iCal on Dropbox and then sync with a phone calendar that will read that?

That worked :) But I've ditched rainlendar, it's ancient anyway.

I exported the iCal file from rainlendar, got a dropbox account, put the file on there, downloaded it on my phone.

I then downloaded the iCal import/export app from Android marketplace, which will upload an iCal file to your Google account. After removing a few entries from the calendar that were causing errors (long text entries I think), I exported the iCal from Rainlendar again, uploaded it using iCal import/export, and then linked the calendar on my phone to my google account (phew), then both calendars displayed the information, and after a quick test; they're talking to each other :)

Works good although I'll miss having my calendar on my desktop.
