Calender Plugin - Wordpress

Can anyone suggest me a calender plugin for the following purpose;

I want to put an event on it, and have people RSVP.
It needs to be able to have some way of adding a comment or note as each person would be bringing further people, and we need to know exactly who they are bringing.
Everyone needs to be able to see who is coming, and the note of who they are bringing.

Any suggestions? Struggling to find anything.

First impressions, you could use a public google calendar and use this as your invite, so people can RSVP directly onto the Calendar?

That was my first thought, and that's what i have implemented at the moment. but it's not perfect as not everyone that uses it will have a Google account.
