Calibration lost over HDMI

Hi folks,

My laptop screen is colour calibrated (using a Spyder 3 Elite) and everything is perfect on the laptop's screen. My Dell 3008WFP is also calibrated using the same Spyder but running off my main PC.

Now, everything looks identical and perfect on both screens, but when I try to output from the laptop to the Dell via HDMI my calibration seems to get lost.

Do I need to simply recalibrate with the Dell connected to the laptop to get this to work? Any other ideas? Custom colour settings from Nvidia and Sony (my laptop brand) are out of the question because they're rubbish and don't work with external monitors/screens anyway.

Cheers,

Your calibration settings for the dell are on your main pc not the screen so I would think you would have to re calibrate the dell while its connected to the laptop.

Got it working. Just needed to set the Dell as the primary display and re-cal. The issue was that when re-calling the screen it was a secondary screen so the profile was effectively only working on the laptop's screen.

All looking spot on now :)

Cheers,
