Looking to get a reasonable calibration equipment for work and I'm currently deciding over :-

Pantone Eye One Display 2

or

ColorVision Spyder2 Suite

Reviews say both are capable but the Spyder2 is a bit better - has anyone had any experience on these bits of kit and do they have a preference on which one is used.

Ta in advance

Which Spyder product?

The Eye One Display 2 is a good hardware device, it's the same one you see in some more expensive packages like the LaCie Blue Eye Pro for instance. A lot of what you pay for with these devices is the software package though, so depends what you're looking for...

Spyder2 Suite - the one that costs abotut £120 - I would link but it'll be a competitor.

in my experience the Spyder kits are average in results, but i've only tested the Spyder2Express, should have a look at their Pro kit soon in fact. I'd recommend the One Eye Display 2 as a good device, even if you only pair it with their software rather than high end software, you should get good results as it's the same bit of hardware. It's certainly capable of very high end results

lacie blue eye and the eye one are virtually the same unit, but the lacie has the better software...

pretty much any unit will do you, but avoid pantone huey like the plague.... there poo

Put the order in for the EyeOne Display so hopefulyl that'll come next week. I'll let you know how I do. I might have to do some 'homework' with it and test it on my 2407 ;)
