My Evo Brembo calipers have seen better days, does anyone know where I could get them refurbed?

Bigg Red? I used their parts to rebuild the calipers on my M5 and they were very good. I believe MRK has used their rebuild process and seems to have good things to say.

BiggRed got good reviews but I found they were hopeless, they sold me a set of rear slider pins for my Mk3 Mx5 and they totally didn't fit, then they didn't reply to my message saying they were the wrong fitment, and still continue to sell the wrong parts on ebay! One chap on Pistonheads found exactly the same having bought from their website, and they didn't respond to him either. Put me right off them frankly, £15 quid down the drain...

The place Gibbo used to get his calipers painted green did a great job, I'd be looking at using them personally looking at how good a job they did.

Godspeed brakes may also be worth a try.

Who done them for Gibbo? Searching Google I found I place called BCS but no idea if they're any good.

Godspeedbrakes they've always been super helpful with me, never had a set refurbed by them but have bought lots of bits including new calipers and Ian the guy who runs it has always been good with advise over the phone and email. There was a thread on scoobynet with some of the refurb jobs he's done on Brembos as i believe they're the same caliper between the latter evo's and the STi's

Bigg Red and had no issues. If you opt for the higher quality finish, it will last much longer as well.

I'd vote for Godspeed as they are the de facto crowd.

Had mine done by Lee at FQ Performance (or whatever they are called now) but couldn't recommend for many reasons.

Got a quote from BCS. £602.50 so I'll pass on that. 4 piston on the fronts and 2 pistons on the rear don't help. That was for full refurb and painted.

I'll enquire with Godspeed and Bigg Red.

I'm not even sure they need a refurb but it's a '03 plate and may aswell get it done when they're off?

I know godspeed will strip, clean and inspect them and replace any bits they are actually needed. I believe in Brembo's generally they're ok after a good clean but as they're stainless pistons and good quality seals.

The refurb/seal kit prices certainly jumped up in price a few years back. Think I got mine from Dave @ EARS.

Why not put stainless pistons in them and put pitted chrome pistons seizing behind you? I make stainless pistons for all sorts of different calipers and stainless pad retaining pins, both of which address the two most prevalent causes of grief.
