Got a call from a mate asking me about the A10 intersection on Bury street as shown in the pic. She said as she approached to turn off on to Bury street on a green but the light as she was almost on it went to amber, stupidly she went across and did not look as she crossed the line if it was red or not. She was where the circled white van is in the pic i assume. Two questions, would this lane be monitored? also she did it at 6pm yesterday, if she was flashed would she even see it? Shes had her license for a month now and is obviously very distressed although i told her shes prolly ok! She knows its wrong and has hopefully learned her lesson i just want other peoples opinion on the matter.

Ta, would have thought so myself. Also wondering about the angle it would have to be to monitor all 4 as its more or less a bend. Think i've calmed her down!

You won't get flashed for going through on amber, you get a second or two to get through on red.

Bit OTT google mapping for running through an amber light. She should have been focused on what she was doing anyways.

Like i said shes concerned she went over on red as she approached on amber but not certain it changed to red while she crossed, i agree with you on focusing on driving instead of looking about at how people were dressing () according to her.. silly :) Did not google map, its on the TFL website. I'd think after almost a decade of driving i'd know amber means no flash (unless its pinkham way junction and the cameras totally whacked :D )
