Really just a heads up to say that this highly underrated game is making an appearance on PC sometime around 10/03/2006.

Although i have the Xbox version, im quite looking forward to being able to view the horror in "High Res". For me, this game has one of the scariest, stressful and most harrowing few minutes in any game i have ever played.

They have captured the atmosphere of Lovecrafts world just brilliantly. Anyone who loved the books, or the pen and paper RPG will be right at home with this.

Yep, thats one I'm going to be keeping my eye on.

Looks interesting. If its done right, it could be a bit of a "sleeper" hit.

Any idea if they will be releasing a playable demo?

Its already been a bit of a sleeper hit on the XBox, so there's no reason to think that it wont do the same on the PC. I couldnt tell you if theres going to be a demo or not, although it would be nice if there was. It would be a good way of people seeing how good the game is :D

Since a lot of staff have left the developer Headfirst( i know a bunch of there ex staff), because they hadnt been paid for several months(wages and pension wise)and had been working insane hours for months, i would be surprised if it came out at all .....poor sods :/

Then again it doesnt take many people to do a straight port across.

aye when this game was going to be a pc game i was very excited ... then they turned it into a console game, who knows how that turned out... i hope it is still as cool as it once sounded (ie. no hud whatsoever and ** sanity quickly going on holiday for some seriously scary ****)

The console version is excellent in my opinion. So even if the PC version is nothing but a direct port, it'll still be a pretty decent game. As i mentioned, i think that they got the atmosphere and feel of Lovecrafts worlds just right in the XBox version. I dont want to mention any particular parts of the game for fear of spoiling it for some. The "escape" section is extremely frightening and stressful, and also a particlarly well done part of the game.

stressful it is, I don't scare easy at all, but that got me really really creeped out because I could tell what was going to happen, but not how ... I actually had nightmares about it :D

I've not played it for ages now :( need to finish it, but its one me and the GF are playing between us)

Finally a release date for the PC :):

Shame its gonna be another Starforce protected game as thats all Ubisoft use nowadays.

Many gamers will not buy because of all the issues with DVD/CD Writers breaking or the starforce system drivers you cannot easily remove.

They dont seem to learn it encourages gamers to download - stupid publishers. They never actually in touch with the gaming community.
