I see Call of Cthulhu on off on D2D for €3.50 and I'm curious to know if it's worth getting? Also, will it work on Windows 7?

Thanks in advance,
Antar.

I LOVE that game! Really creepy and highly recomend it!
Slightly dating now but still worth it, especially if you're already a Lovecraft fan.

Not sure bout it running in Win7 but I play other games in it that run fine when I change the compatibility settings. (Just change it to run as XP or something if it doesn't run).

For that price it's deffinately worth a try!

I hope you've not read too many of the books though. The plot feels a little too 'inspired' otherwise :)

Cheers guys.

What books is the game based upon?

The Call of Cthulhu/etc books by H.P. Lovecraft. They're quite cool in some ways, horribly dated/trashy in others.

They're the kind of books that are great to 'have read' but not always so great to be in the process of reading.

I quite like "The Thing on the Doorstep", for instance...really creepy...but then the ending of it is worded in a way that turns it into a comedy :s

Gah, looks like I'll be checking out the books after all as I can't buy the game since it's only available in the UK and EU. It would seem Ireland is no longer part of the EU.

If you like you can paypal me the cash and I'll gift the game to you - presume that'll work.

(assuming steam purchase)

edit: Actually, it'd prob have to be click and buy. I don't use my paypal account with steam due to issues in the past, sorry.

hmmm, looks like the game I'm after. Been longing for a game like Clive Barkers Undying (don't get it mixed with that crappy Jericho). Gonna give it a shot! :)

Hell yeah, I'd love to get out of the UK :p

I've been in contact with D2D to see if the problem can be sorted out but apparently it can't. The main issue is that I'm living in Amsterdam apparently, that or both of the ISPs I'm using are being routed through Amsterdam....

Funny thing is though I could've sworn that Amsterdam was currently situated within the EU as well. Obviously D2D don't want our money and in my case they won't be getting it.

You should find out where they believe Manchester is located FrenchTart, could be somewhere exotic :p
