Sorry about this, as i no ive been posting a lot about different games lately.

Just seen Call of Duty 2 on steam for $29.99, although i completed the single player before on a downloaded copy, i couldnt play online with that (and i had a geforce 4 mx then rofl).

Is it any good? Ive heard rifle servers are good, With lots of serious players etc.

So what do you think?

29.99?

It's an excellent online game and some of the rifle servers are quite good. Especially the Cr0x ones.

You won't be disappointed at all, it's a great game.

ok i officially have it now, just gotta download the files, could take AGES...

Steam keeps games up to date doesnt it?

Any good servers you guys play on?

Yeah, really is a great game.
I ended up getting board and came across BF2 and CS:S which have taken all of my time up since last Sept.

/Edit - How does the purchasing system work on Steam? Once you click buy do you enter your card details and your done, does it work out the currency conversion on its own? Thanks :)

Multiplayer is very poor, not a patch on old CoD or UO. Single player isn't too bad but doesn't grab you like the original.

:/ at the above two posts.

I found the hit detection in COD2 very good, far better than how odd it seems in BF2 and CSS most of the time.

Single player has to be one of the best single player fps games I've ever played :D

Yeah it's pretty good but no one agrees when I say the graphics are pretty good. But the multiplayer is good but it isn't like the original COD imo.

Ive never had a problem with the hit boxes either. I personally think the hitboxes in the likes of BF2, CC:S, DOD:S not great but, thats why i dont play them. Its just a game and you get used to it and I think it fits the arcadey style perfectly well.

As for the multiplayer being very poor? come on its one of the top online FPS. I hate CS but i wouldnt call it very poor.

No you get it a lot, multiplayer just doesn't feel very "precise" and a bit spammy. Which doesn't tick any boxes for me hence the very poor comment (as indeed I find in DoD:S but at least that's just quick mindless fun sop you can forgive it more). If it has changed since the first few months then fair enough as I didn't bother with it for long.

He is right, ive got multiple demos and dodgy shots on my clan frags lol

As far as i can make out

The head hitbox gets 'left' behind from the actual player

Hitbox's are fine when the player is stationary but once movement is involved - They go to pot
