Call Of Duty 2 - Savegames?

I've recently formatted my system, saved my COD2 directory though as I was half-way through re-playing the single player.

Anyway, started playing the game again, did a few missions, but stopped as my PC appears to be unstable. Tried changing a few settings in the BIOS, and now even though my saves are there, COD2 refuses to let me continue my game, only lets me start a fresh

Any ideas?

Is it patched to the same level as the previous instal?
Cant see why it would be a problem

Yep it is, and it did work for a few hours anyway, then it stopped :confused:

Perhaps try backing up your saves, re-creating the profile (ie new game in CoD), and dropping the saves into the newly created profile?

Edit:

Hhmm could it possibly be something to do with the thing that tracks which campaigns you have unlocked after you have completed certain missions? I don't know how it tracks that information . . . .
