Call of Duty 2 - Server Browser

Does anyone know if the server browser is still up for CoD2 - looked at lunchtime and I was getting no response - not everyone can have moved to Cod4 yet?!
And is Xfire the only alternative?

The master server went down yesterday, looks as if they are still having problems with as its still down for me also.
