CALL OF DUTY 4 5.1 SPEAKER ISSUE

hi guys,

im using vista 64bit, xfi gamer and call of duty 4. basically im not getting the rear sound when playing the game. its setup in the control panel for 5.1 speakers and the test works 100%. iv also tried the different settings in the game menu and have got nowhere does anyone know how to fix this or have similar issues?

p.s using the latest drivers and latest patch.

You need to tell us if Onboard or a card like a X-FI.

Im sure if its a X-FI it works as its OpenAL unlike say F.E.A.R PM where you need load game into Creative ALchemy (Direct sound Games) or you cant change Audio settings in game menu.

Edit now I see its a X-FI ( I missed 1st read as just woken), it may be as I said above but Im sure I did not load the game into the Creative ALchemy so it must be a OpenAL game.

unless he ninja edited he states he's using the X-fi gamer in the first line.

sorry mate i dont have any idea, im using vista 32bit and a x-fi gamer and i havent noticed anything with my 5.1 set up.

sorry guys seems to be workin today, the patch must have affected it, when i rebooted the pc it was fine.. cheers lads!!!
