Call of Duty WAW Steam version crashing?

Any idea what could be causing this? First time round it booted, I went to choose settings, and selected a solo profile, and then had to restart. Went to restart and now it crashes to desktop with an unkown error relating to the campaign/co-op mode.

Never mind - it was to do with my sound. I had changed 'cd quality' to 'studio quality' thinking my Xonar would handle it. I was mistaken. Weird all the same.
