I'm a big fan of FPS games and I've been looking for another as I've played all the well known titles.

After reading a lot of reviews, I bought call of Juarez : Bound in Blood last night (via steam), and I am impressed with it. Enjoying it.

I'm running it on windows 7 64 bit and it works fine. Steam's system requirements for the game say xp or vista (so I'm not surprised it works on 7 - as you will all be well aware, the driver architecture is very similar for 7 and vista).

However, I would now like to buy the original version of Call of Juarez, but Steam say, in the system requirements section, that it is only for windows 2000 or xp.

Does anybody have the original version of Call of Juarez running successfully on windows 7 professional 64bit?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Call of Juarez has a DX10 update, and as you know, DX10 only works on Vista and 7.

I have played CoJ both on Vista 64 bit and 7 64bit, so you're fine to play it.

I think CoJ was simply released before Vista, and Steam haven't updated these details, and or just copy and pasted them from somewhere else.

Thanks for your replies. I will buy it now. I also thought it would work as I have found that most of my old xp software works on 7 64bit, but I just wanted to be sure before I spent the money.

Loving Bound in Blood. Thought it was going to be ******, but it's excellent.

Cheers and have a good new year people.:)

Don't forget, it's got a DX10 update, which will only work with Vista and 7. :)

I played the original game on Vista64, both dx9 and then downloaded the massive dx10 patch too, no probs. Wasn't done through Steam though, didn't see the point when the game only costs a few pounds 'anywhere' compared to the 14 quid that Steam asks for.
