looking to do a decent upgrade this month and watercooling is part of that. in another topic it was said that my current case is not up to the task of the 360mm radiator fitment and some people surgested a number of other cases.

personally i like the (almost dull) look of a simple design and spotted the corsair 750D. seems like a nice case but if spending what seems like big money on just a case, need some more info.

is there decent space behind the mobo tray?
it's allways been a pain to cable manage on other cases and would like to find one that is easier to live with.

how heavy is it, just bare ?

with all the other bits installed in the case, is there really enough room for a thick 360mm rad with fans on, without fouling the ram or anything else?

and lastly is there a better case than the 750D for a watercooled install with both gpu and cpu on liquid and a number of hard discs?

thanks for reading.

There isn't a lot of room behind the tray, I found that once the cables were all in place, it would push the side panel out a little.

Do you have a strict budget for a case?

You have a few other choices, corsair 540, enthoo luxe and primo, though the primo is £200.

if you give us your budget it'll be easier.
the corsair 750D is an awesome case. however, depending on your setup, cable management and watercooling can be a bit tricky (but not impossible).
there isn't much space behind the tray so you have to be quite tidy (or do like I did and push it all in).
there are some awesome watercooling builds that use the 750d so it's not impossible. and even if the spec sheet says otherwise, a 420mm rad fits in the top (I've done it) without ANY modification at all.
I just sold mine (for £60) because I needed (wanted) something bigger. I got myself an enthoo primo and it's in a whole other league. I'm not saying that the 750D is a bad case (it's one of my favourites), but if you can afford it and you want some good cable management, phanteks does an awesome job. I haven't tried the luxe myself, but it seems to be similar

Hi :D
I'm researching rads for the top of my 750d right now, and would love to know what the 420mm rad was you managed to get to fit in the top of the case?
Did you have anything fitted in the top bay? I currently have a recon fan controller in the top of mine, with a xspc bay res in the lower two.
Do you think I could fit a 420?

(PS Sorry for hijacking your thread OP) :p

NP for the hijack..

well it sounds like the space behind the tray isn't what I'm looking for. spose my budget for case would be max of £150. too many other bits to buy to spend much more on it. more interested in rad and fan fitments and space behind the tray than the style. but both would be great :D

It was an alphacool ut60 420. I don't use front bays so it wasn't a problem for me but once you add fans, your two top bays won't be usable. Might be able to fit a slim one and only lose the top bay.

In that case, my vote goes to the enthoo luxe

My 750D is the best investment iv ever made, it's the biggest case iv ever owned, most expensive and it's fantastic worth every penny. Infact for what you get it's cheap!, I used my old Akasa eclipse 64 for about 6 years before getting this, and I couldn't believe how great this case is, just little simple ideas that are cool like the ssd mounts and awesome cable tidyness and the amount of mounting holes and space it has. It has room for everything I'll ever need and more. I can't even imagine how much of a overkill a 900d is as this case is big.

Space behind the motherboard tray, there's about a inch and a half, you could easily mount a hdd behind there, iv never had any problems at all sticking all my wires behind there, there's more than enough room even when cables are overlaying. The only one and only thing that I do think is stupid is that, they have made all these amazing magnetic dust filters etc, but there isn't a dust filter for the bottom front area where you can mount a 240 rad on the floor :/ although there is somewhere on the Internet that sells a aftermarket magnetic filter for there in the corsair design like the top dust filter, and it only costs 5 quid so I shall be ordering one, as that is the only place and dust can get in at all. But all though saying all that. Iv only had to clean dust specles out once and even then there was hardly anything there just me being OCD. Where as my old case I had to blow it out once every 3 days

ah, well with enough space for a hard drive behind the mobo tray it does sound more useful. allways had slimmer cases and making all the cables fit is hassle.

thanks
