Calling AGP 6800GS users!

Hiya,

Been have a few annoying hitches and stuttering issues with my new 6800GS during game play and checked my driver settings and noticed under my AGP rate section the following:

MAX AGP rate

GPU = 8x
Chipset = 8x
OS = 2x
Optimal = 8x

Does the 2x bit under OS look right to you guys, shouldnt it be 8x like the rest?

Have fast writes enabled aswell as sidebanding. Have used Riva Tuner and NV Tweak but cant find away to change it.

Installed the latest Via drivers but still no change. Could one of you helpful dudes check your settings and put me out of my miserery?

Any1 got any ideas about this?, is this just reported incorrectly by the OS?

I got same here, never really noticed before, I know mines is in 8x mode as all software reports inc Everest and Sandra, google would prob tell you why its 2x OS.

Same here it's normal, caused a bit of worry for Asrock Dual Sata people when we noticed it but seems its the same on all mobo's.

Seems its not on 9x OS, so its NT bug well 2003/XP thats Ive read about, it states not to worry, card is running real 8x as Nvidia seen this and fixed at a driver level long ago.
