hmmm mine is very much lower than yours, 18644 i get with a i7 920 on 3dMark 06 and 944 on heaven demo, so something isnt right with mine so far, well anyone with anymore is always welcome to get a feel for the range

Both his CPU and GPU are heavily overclocked so unless you have similar clocks your scores will be much lower.
 
i havent even touched the 920 yet, i dont really see the point currently as it doesnt really struggle too much, i guess i should try clocking it up get a stable OC and re run the tests see if i can get the same scores before i worry too much.

I ran mine with my CPU at 3.4 and my 5870 at stock and got 19.6k in 3dmark06. I'll run vantage and heaven later with a proper clock on the CPU and CCC max on the 5870.
 
3DMark06 was 23877 if I remember correctly, that was with i7 920 at 3.8, 5870 at 900/1300 maxed in CCC, and RAM at 1600mhz.

I'm also interested in what other people are getting, don't really know how good my score is.

I did a test on mine and with 920 at stock i lost loads of points in vantage compared to my 920 overclock. CPU must have been causing a bottleneck.

Most people now use msi afterburner and no that wont be on stock volts
 
I'm not too familiar with 3DMark06

Could someone explain why my system is showing "4 Processor Cores" In the Multicore section, comparing to others who have 8, with the same CPU?
 
I don't have the 5870, but older 3d marks (especially 06) are HEAVILY dependant on cpu!

Clocking your cpu up 1ghz will boost the score by thousands. GPU overclock won't do anywhere near as much. Yes it seems silly, but 3d mark 06 was released about xmas 2005 iirc and before multi-core cpus.
