Hidden & dangerous 2 came out years ago & was rubbish compared to the original, I loved that game & there was a patch available to put back all the swasticas on flags & vehicles etc that were removed on the EU version of the game

Pretty sure Deluxe has been free for ages now, completed all the H&D games last year again. Wish there was a third :(
Yeah it has been available for years I just thought if an upsurge of interest in the old tittles began it might have some effect on getting a new one.

Tried this yesterday and it seemed a nice concept but let down by substandard execution:

-Something feels wrong with the aiming, difficult to put my finger on but it feels like you are waving your gun around all over the place
-20th century graphics
-Very poor view distance, not sure if that is supposed to be a gameplay mechanic or due to performance limitations when it was released.

Game did come out in 1999 :p

I know (hence the 20th century comment) :)

I still judge games on merit though, I don't give bonus points for their age. It does kinda reinforce my approximate rule of thumb of 2000 being the rough cut off for the point at which graphics start to affect gameplay too much for my liking (draw distance in this case). There are a few exceptions such as Unreal (1998) or the odd game with very good artistic design (Quake) but this doesn't seem to be one of them.
