Everytime I convert a music video using 'Xilisoft iPod Video Converter', it never seems to get done right. The sound is not in sync with the video, for example the guy/girls lips are moving and there is no sound, and then the sound comes in afew seconds later. Am I using crap software or are my settings just messed up?

The same program seems to work fine for larger divx files, the sound and everything is fine when converted. Its the music videos upto around the 60MB mark that seem to be affected, and most the music videos I have are around the 50MB mark. What can I do to fix this problem? Anyone using the same software as me, or maybe you can suggest something better?

Btw I have set the preferences to 'mpeg-4 video excellent quality' and it still happens, doesnt matter which setting I use. Is there any software that converts the file to the ipod format without actually compressing it, so it just stays the same size?

If you're converting from DivX then this will happen. I hate do bring bad news, but I never solved this problem. I ended up using an NLE Video Editor to convert it to an AVI, before then converting that to a MOV using Videora. Video Editors are huge programmes, and very expensive.

There's a programme that everyone uses for converting video, although I forgot what it's called - someone will remember it. Use it to convert files to uncompressed or something, then try converting those to DivX. If I remember the name I'll let you know.
