Okay, this is a bit of a longshot.
I am a prospective buyer of one of these but I need to know one thing first.
I own a dell 3007WFP and would like to be able to run it off the laptop at native resolution. This requires WQXGA support that only comes about on Dual link graphics cards (which I think the 8400M is) + hdmi version 1.3 (which according to a dell representative in America it has).
So my question is, either can anyone find me the max output resolution for this laptop (I don't know how to definitively do this, anyone know?) or does anyone own both who has tried it?

Yeah I was worried about this also , HDMI is nice but you need DVI for dual Link. HDMI doesn't support much more than 1080P.

Get the 27". :)

Problem is I already have the 30".
Secondly, hdmi 1.3 supports 2560 x 1600. All lower standards only support 1080p.

I was chatting to a Dell representative in America who gave me a conflicting view. I asked him what version of hdmi it has and he said it was 1.3. He then said that the max resolution output was 1920 1200 because of the gfx card. However, the gfx card is 8400M which supports dual link and since the hdmi is 1.3, the max should be 2560 x 1600. I am lost  :(
Please help someone.

I have one of these M1330s coming to me in the last week of July and would also be very keen to know this information. I'll give my rep an email tomorrow to grab more details.

Reading on another forum: There may be a problem with the Dell 3007WFP not supporting the higher speed (340Mhz) hdmi.

Can no one just try it? First just check in display settings whether 2560 x 1600 is a supported output resolution under hdmi?
