Calling... dmpoole (and other aging rockers)!

I love Jethro Tulls aqualung and locomotive breath, but can't really think of anything really similar.

Have you listened to King Crimson, Yes, Emmerson Lake&palmer, Van der Graaf generator ?

Jethro Tull is rather a unique choice.

I'd recommend anything from Gentle Giant, ELP, Floyd, Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, Roxy Music or Mott the Hoople to name a few.

I love Jethro Tull and seen them a few times and I've got a few DVD bootlegs.
They did an Old Grey Whistle Test special back in 1975 (!) and it took me until last year to get my hands on it.
As a lad the only 'similar' folk rock artists were Steeleye Span and Fairport Convention.
I can't think of anybody who sounds like them and you definitely can't compare the likes of Yes or ELP to them.
About 4 years ago I went to watch them in Birmingham and during one song it was left to just guitar, bass & drums and I turned to my mate and said "They could be Metallica or Slayer" because they were that powerful.
