Calling Fireskull, who is a complete and utter...

I am indeed and its killing me :( realised that if I go out for a drive in the car costs me a hell of a lot more in fuel :p
Not ridden for over 3 months now, feels like a part of me is missing! still hurts my arm in the riding position so probably be another month before I can even attempt a ride :/

Recovery is going well, I had hospital yesterday and they are happy with everything, arm is still healing slowly but we knew that because it wasnt pinned.
Walking is much easier, only a bit of a limp now, everyones stopped calling me House!
Still abit of swelling in the knee 3 months on! :o and lots of muscle wastage so going to the gym a lot, need to start swimming too!

Good new on the police side too, they have offered me a RiDe course, so of course I took that :p so no points/fine/conviction, got that next month up reading way!

Off to the doctors tomorrow to hopefully get the OK to go back to work :) going to be tough getting out of bed again, for 2 months I was still getting up at 7am, but this last month its usually about 10am :p

Ummmm think thats all to report! need to fix the brakes on the SV now my arm has more strength, so at least I can ride something soon :)
Being honest ive not been looking at bikes that much, gets me down :( haha and really sunk in that my bike has gone too, as gay as it is I loved that thing and its gone :/

I was working on a bike today.

Fitted a HRC racing ECU and wiring loom to a Honda CBR600RR.

Tomorrow will have a laptop plugged into it to figure out how to play with the map.

Then later we will try to fit the intake from the Formula Student car on it (including the 20mm restrictor), and see if that works, as it's a vastly different throttle body.

Sounds interesting, stock exhaust? will you be getting bhp figures too?

Exhaust is custom for the car, but we can't test that on the mule bike, won't fit. We bought this bike to use for some testing and as a second engine, engine one is in the frame with no electrics at all.

The rules require a 20mm restrictor (tiny hole), after the throttle butterfly, so we've taken the butterflies out of the original throttle bodies, sealed them up and ported away a ridge in each tract, this is now just the location for the injectors and pressure sensor tubes. To cope with the small inlet we have a massive plenum chamber between the original throttle bodies and new throttle body, and really long inlet tracts.

We expect to be running about 80bhp (down from the original 120). You're allowed to use a supercharger or turbocharger, but only if you design and build it yourself, formula student being an engineering competition.

Fireskull, what did you do?

Fell over in the shower whilst playing with his toy motorcycle, making vroom noises as he pushed it along the wall.

Skull, you going to lightning motorcycle for that course? Could go for a coffee if it's during a weekend if ya want?

Good to hear you are doing ok, FS.

Rubbish time of year to be riding anyway, so console yourself in that. I could count on one hand the amount of times I've been out on the Mille in the past few months. She's hibernating now. ;)

Cheers dude :) and yea I know its crap weather but I still want to be out! though ive been told the cold will affect me leg now :/

It will mate, my mate had a brace in his leg after a off, still today, if it's chilly, it puts him in so much pain, he says its a numbing pain, like when you get so cold your bones hurt, that pain... Odd really, I tell him to get a brew down his neck and saddle back on his IL4 and get on with it, normally does the trick :D
