Calling on any P8P67 holders!

Hi all,

Just acquired the above board from O'clockers and looking to build it up tonight

. I'll be looking to install a Momentus hybrid as the primary drive and use 2 old mechanical drives as slaves. My only concern, I've heard the board can be a bit flakey in the Sata ports.

Grateful therefore for advice on best ports to use for primary and slaves.

Well as you only have 3 drives hook 2 of them up to the Intel 6Gb ports and the other to the marvel 6gb port.

ok thanks for that. To be clear, are you suggesting the primary drive to marvel port?

Another, slightly off topic question (noting your sig), why only 4 gig overclock? I'm asking because I have the same kit, including the H50, and I intent taking it up to 4.5Ghz minimum. Is that merely preference on your part or does the board struggle (in your experience) above 4ghz?

no, primary to intel 6gb,then others to other intel 6gb,then to marvell 6gb

No put the main 2 drives on the intel 6gb and the other on the marvell.

4Ghz is the quickest ive tried it, no doubt it will do 4.4+ but it will prbably need more volts. Im pretty happy to leave it at 4 on stock volts and low temps
