I have noticed that pretty much all the Zen3 CPU reviewers have are SUS post fix in their part number

that indicates that these CPUs are made in SuZhou, China. i know TSMC also has a factory in PeNang, Malaysia, which shared production of the Zen2 parts.

I am just curious to see if people can help ascertain if the Zen3 is prodominantly produced in China. the part number is 2035SUS in the image below as an example. 2035 is the year and week number respectively.

I got a feeling the SuZhou TSMC factory has better processing, my 3900X is PeNang chip and classified as "silver" which doesnt have great overclocking headroom. where later Zen2 chips and the XT chips are from SuZhou like the Zen3 chips, can clock higher no problems

In case it helps, mine arrived this evening. :)
2042SUS

Another SUS cpu. I think TSMC must have just got the Chinese factory doing CPU for AMD. There was some leaks or discussion in Chinese forum where the “supposed” insider was leaking information about availabilities and supplies.

I wonder if the PeNang factory has been allocated to Navi production.

Do they make the chiplets in Taiwan and then assemble in china?
Or the whole fab in China?
They make wafers in US, the final stage of the chips are made in China with assembly and testing I believe

The last letter of SUS stands for Saratoga. The only foundry in Saratoga is global foundries...hmm
