Calls from wierd number

hi guys

i keep getting calls from 01642734000 and when i pick up there is nothing

ive tried ringing it back and i get a number error

has anyone else had calls from this number?

Probably one of those things that charge u when u pick up!
Do you know if it has charged you?
Maybe try searching it on the web? might come up with something?

From a quick Google it appears to be from Sky TV and no you can't ring it back.

Probably one of those things that charge u when u pick up!

That would be illegal, you have to give your consent to be put through onto a premium line, usually by pressing a certain key when they ask.

This is pretty strange.

I read this thread about 12.30 today, and a few minutes ago (13.36) i receive a call from said number (01642734000) which i reject. Weird.

mmm other people have been getting the calls eh? what happens when you answer? ive googled the number and nothing, the area code is from middlesborough apparently though :confused:

ive had it about 4 times today

edit - probably should mention this is to my mobile, im on contract with vodafone

I have missed about 4 calls from them as its my old phone and it sits around on silent mode most of the day...so haven't answered it at all. I figure if its important they'll leave a message, otherwise i won't bother answering it.

seems it could be from sky...

im not the registered owner of sky in the house, although i did register for info on sky HD, that was ages before i even got this phone :eek:

They are just confirming u are Mr X at that number you are more likely to reply if they use your name.

This is not sky...I can phone you up and pretend to be sky if you want...lol

And my code is 01642 (Cleveland) as well...lol
