This may sound like a bit of a stupid question, i feel a bit stupid asking it.
Basically im starting to get pretty thick calluses under my fingers on my palm, they begin to hurt when trapped by my grip, and this make heavy dumbells very uncomfortable, and especially a pull up bar.

I dont have a bath to soak my hands, and have been biting them off :p do you guys use gloves or just rub these things off.

They usually get ripped off and then tougher new skin develops and then gets ripped off and so on... until you get mans hands lol :p ;) :D

I have an obligation to the female of the species not to waste my massage talents :) rough hands play havok, and i cannot keep my self diginity if i moisturise.

gloves can be annoying though, you find a good pair, they wear out, you try to find another pair only to struggle to get anything that fits right or grips right.

get used to the caluses and keep lifting :p

I just pick mine off. Never used gloves but a while ago in my gym the owner went through a phase of leaving sponges around the place, which when ripped in half were ok - gave a pretty decent grip. I'm pretty sure they were meant for us to use.

I stopped using gloves myself, the thin ones tore apart and the thick ones mean I can't get a decent grip on pull exercises. Though I do use moistouriser.

If they get too big and start causing pain trim them down with nail clippers. Other than that they should wear/rip themselves :)

I climb a lot and we build up good calluses too. Best way to sort them out is to get a pumice stone and sand them down with that and moisturise. Your skin wont feel that much harder but it becomes a lot stronger.
