camcorder to vista

Does anyone know how to get a camcorder image onto a vista 64 pc?, um trying to get a family video off the camcorder using my graphics cards svideo connector although im not quite sure what software to use for this, the built in windows movie maker for vista only seems to import from a digital source not svideol, help...

Make sure your video card does in fact support Video In. Then ensure the drivers to support this are loaded from the manufacturers web site.
Then use Windows Movie Maker.
