Came home to this.....

So I turned on my ps5 and monitor and I was presented with the above.

Turned on the pc the same image, powered down everything at the wall Turned it back on monitor is back to normal.

Does anyone have an idea? The monitor is fairly new ROG Swift PG259QN is the monitor om the way out?

When you say same image, exactly the same image or same effect?

looks like an electronics failure in the monitor to me.

Same effect sorry.

It's back to normal been gaming on it this morning, but it's worrying tbh

That's either monitor or graphics card/its driver causing that.

Do you have any other image sources to test/narrow it down "which end of the cable" is the cause?

I bought it in September from ocuk when playing my pc on it never an issue, with the ps5 and playing fifa the screen goes black for a few seconds then comes back unsure as why this happens.

What's EMI? It's a white wall, I did fiddle with the back of the monitor lighting as it reflects on the wall at night.

The other monitor which it was connected to was fine at the time of turning on the PlayStation.

I recently updated the drivers to the latest nvidia drivers for the enhanced edition of metro exodus

Reset the screen

try new cables

test your pc and ps5

if the issue still occurs rma it

Open the OSD on the monitor. If it's the same then the monitor is bad, if not it's an input issue.

Have you tried unplugging and plugging back in the monitor's power cable? It wouldn't be the first time a dodgy power connection has had interesting results.

I switched it off at the wall and back on again and the monitor is back to normal
