OK, my Lowepro Rezo TLZ20 is too small for my D90 and D400...

Anyone recommend a good (bit bigger) alternative that would ideally fit the D90 with the D400 mounted? (Adds about 55mm more height to the camera just around the body)

The current TLZ20 is about 14.5 X 11 X 17.5 cm (interior) and fits like a glove (without room for the flash)!

If it could fit my 50mm lens & possibly one more lens in there too, it might be nice?

It's a bad idea to leave the flash mounted to the camera in the bag, the hot shoe is purposely sacrificial to limit damage if you drop it with the flash attached.

I don't see that as much of a risk... The camera would be most likely facing down in the bag (like currently), ideally with the base of the camera at the side of the case, and the flash in the middle with a partition next to it. Other side of the partition would be a lens and maybe something else, most likey for the time being, nothing.

So it would be hard for the camera to fall onto the flash directly. Also, the flash is very light (under 100g).

Spotted the Lowepro 180AW. Look at the second pic on the page. My camera could fit sideways in there with the flash mounted, ie: Taking up up two of the spaces shown... http://products.lowepro.com/product/Nova-180-AW,2105,20.htm

Aye, I couldn't agree more with the comments above.
Remove the flash and pack it into the side / under the camera for compact. tight but safe packing. The flash can easily snap off the hotshoe holder. A Crumpler muffin bag can fit both easily if you're into side bags, otherwise, I usually advise on a bag, be it a full camera bag or a half camera, half 'normal' bag types like the Crumpler half Messenger photo bag.
