Hi all,

After some help, as I partake in some photography, to my boss I'm automatically an expert now....lol.

We need a new camera in engineering, which will include primarily close up photos of aircraft parts, showing scratches, dents etc... So macro is a must.

Budget £1500, but this needs to include some lighting equipment too.

Looking for advice/ideas on what to go for, bridge, compact, body and lens....?

Any help much appreciated

Should be able to get a Fujifilm X-T30 II and a used Fujifilm 80mm Macro (they are £1149 new!) for a touch over £1500.

As for lighting for macro, I’m not sure. Possibly just a product light box which are cheap enough.

I doubt they'll go used, but I'll double check.

They have a cheap light box on the other side of the site, with a couple of lamps. Probably get something like that again.

You could probably go M43 and get a Panasonic G9 (£900) and Olympus 60mm F2.8 Macro (£400), which totals £1300, that should leave some budget for lighting.
