Camera for the girlfriend.

OK, full disclosure, I know nothing about cameras. I also only have one day left to get something for her birthday!

I reckon around £100...anything decent available for that price? If I upped the budget would I get something substantially better? Please enlighten me or lead the way for me to enlighten myself!

Not really much in it for cameras at that price point. Just choose one that has got the features you want and looks nice.

£200 up basically. Any short of that and nothing really stands out unless there's a very specific feature you must have.
