any recommendations of insurance companies? Between us the Mrs and I have got about £12k of gear and accessories and about time we insured it properly.

I use Eversure, appear to be good. Not had to claim. Good prices, good cover.

thanks, they came up when I googled it but wanted to see if anyone had a horror story (or not) about any of the companies.

I checked our contents policy and not convinced about the cover that gives

I would have thought on house contents insurance it would need to be specified items and would push the price up more than a specialist camera policy.

I have contents insurance and pay £11 for my camera gear and contents of the house.

A year or per month? Does that include accidental damage too?

Yes everything,covers me for travelling as well up to 60 days abroad.
It's NatWest top insurance.

Added to my home insurance. Plus £50/year for £10k worth gear. Accidental / away from home.

I use Eversure, I haven't had to make a claim but apparently they are pretty good.

I used to use photoguard but their prices went up a lot, I met them at the camera show this year and they said they had a lot of people leave because of pricing and have since reviewed it and should be cheaper.

Either way I prefer to have separate insurance to the house insurance.
