Camera mp question

Hi

Would like to ask all you camera experts whats the best mega pixel setting to have on my camera?

I have a fairly old camera but still does the job, it's a panasonic Lumix tz5, I always wonder what to have the mp setting on.

I only normally view my photos on ipad so I don't need huge size photos and if I print It's only small prints.

So should I lower the mega pixels to say 2 or 3mp or would this effect quality?

Full res is going to be the best option depending on how the camera implements it.

I can't see any reason to use a lower MP setting unless file size is an issue for you, in which case you might try 3MP and see if you can see any difference on your ipad. This should be an OK size for up to 6" prints.

Always shoot to the camera's maximum MP size depending of course on the memory card size to how many shots your gonna take ....
