I'm getting ready to start a blog, but I also want to record videos with the blog posts. But I'm not sure if I want a dedicated camera for photos and videos or whether I can use a phone for pictures and videos?

I currently have a OnePlus 6 phone which is starting to show its age, and because of this, I was thinking about upgrading to the Google Pixel 6 Pro, which I hear has a pretty good camera. Since I'd be upgrading my phone anyway, I thought I could kill two birds with one stone and use the phone for everything.

So my question is will the Google Pixel 6 Pro be good enough to start video reviews (probably all of them filmed inside and on a desk), or should I spend the money on the camera as well as the Google Pixel 6 Pro?

If you think I need a dedicated camera, which is considered reasonable in the £500 range?

I'll be filming in 4k 60fps.

Edit: If I went the camera route, I guess I'd need a microphone. Which one is good? Would I need a dedicated microphone if I went with the Google Pixel 6 Pro?

I have been blogging for years on my youtube channel with just a phone, you can get some half-decent quality on them in regards to video. I have never felt like the phone held me back in regards to video, that being said you will lose the artistic video that comes with low aperture lenses when you just use a phone.

I use a Samsung S20 Ultra and before that s S9 and S7 im also a landscape photographer so its always a dedicated camera for me in those regards, but for filming, blogging, and or reviews I think a phone can be very versatile
