Camera playing up - any ideas?

Camera is a sony DSC-F717

here is a piccy of what it is doing - have tried resetting it.

Any ideas?

I believe that there was a problem with several cameras, which sony were offering to repair for free. See this link for further information: Sony link

Thanks m8, gave them a call and they have stated that they needed a reciept for purchase, and then told me that since I didn't buy the camera in the UK (bought it in New Zealand) it was not covered by an international warranty...

Oh well, looks like time for a new camera

i'd ring them again. Often in the past i get adifferent set ofansers to warranty claims dependant on who i speak to.

You could say that you do not have the receipt, but was bought in this country (in good faith).

I cant see why the point of purchase would make a difference to the claim.

they should sort it,olympus has the same sony sensor problem,they never asked me for proof of buying the camera,they go by the serial number.
