Camera prices... specifically Sony A5100

Hello chums

I've been hankering for the Sony A6000 for a lil' while but the it seems the A5100 is very similar bar a few missing features (viewfinder, ext. mic)

The A5100 last year was on offer for around £279 but now can only be had for £400!?!?!

I'd expect with the release of the A6300 and A6500 that the prices would stabilise on the lower-end.

The A6000 can be had for £30-£40 more so surely no one would bother with the A5100...

Any ideas why?

Brexit, plus when stock gets low prices increase even if there are newer and better products out there

Yeah when replacement models come out there's normally lots of stock, lots of competition and a race to the bottom to shift the old model. Then supply dries up and there's only the odd place with left overs (often 3rd party amazon sellers) and they just sit in a warehouse somewhere until who knows when.
