Hi,

Looking for a camera rucksack for my D90 with kit lense plus a 50mm, a couple of filters, memory cards, charger.

Not after spending mega money but also ideally available on the rainforest as I have some vouchers for there.

Thanks

Kimbie

As Jono has already mentioned, take a look at the Lowepro Flipside range.

The Flipside 200 is £65 at Amazon
The Flipside 300 is £85
The Flipside 400 AW is £99 (I've go this one and its over 5 years old now - still in excellent condition).

Think the 200 or 300 should be enough for you - biggest advantage the Flipsides have is that the opening for the Camera and Lenses is on the inside, i.e against your back so very difficult for people to unzip the bag and nick something from inside when in crowded locations.

Only the 400 aw and the 500 aw come with an additional fold out rain cover - but to be honest I've never used it, the bag is pretty waterproof as it is.

Also just found out that Lowepro do a range called the Lowepro Photo Hatchback, which has a smaller back facing compartment and what appears to be a larger compartment for equipment whilst hiking, clothing, food etc. Again Amazon stock them.

What do you want it for? Storing your stuff at home and in the car? Hiking? wandering around town for an hour in the evening? Travelling to SE Asia?

All would involve different recommendations.

If you plan on using it anywhere dodgy (say poorer countries when on holiday) I would recommend against anything that actually looked like a camera bag, or had a well known name/logo on it. You'd just be asking for trouble.

At the moment I do not really go out and about with my camera as its currently in the generic Nikon shoulder bag, I do not really find it practical to carry around.

So just looking for a basic pack I guess, can wander around town, or beech etc take it out use it and put it away again kind of thing.
